Ming Zhou was born in Shanghai, China. She received her BFA in Art Education from Shanghai Teachers’ University, China and her MFA in painting from University of Missouri. She has four years teaching experience as an arts lecturer from 1999 to 2003 at Shanghai Datong College and Tongji University with thousands of students.

Ming’s works have been featured in 10 solo and numerous group national and international exhibitions. Her artistic contributions have earned her more than 20 awards, such as First Place at "The Color of Money" exhibition (National Juried Art Exhibition by Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts), First Place/Mary R. Koch Memorial Award at National Small Oil Painting Exhibition (The Wichita Center for the Arts), and most recently, Best of Show at "Figures & Faces" exhibition (International Juried Art Exhibition by Pacific Art League of Palo Alto).
